First of all Wierzchosławice takes pride in Wincenty Witos, an activist of peasant movement and three times the prime minister of the Republic of Poland, who was born and buried there. However, the local parish church is also worth visiting. The parish in Wierzchosławice was probably founded in the 13th century. The first three churches were wooden. The present Our Lady of Consolation, made of stone, was constructed in 1811-18, founded by prince Eustachy Erazm Sanguszko. It was consecrated in 1825. The church architecture is classicistic with Baroque elements. One-nave, with a narrower chancel, semicircularly closed, surrounded by outhouses the main portal with a frieze on which the construction date is inscribed. Figural and ornamental polychromy painted by Kazimierz Polityński in 1929. The church equipment in Neo-Baroque. Next to the church there is a freestanding belfry erected in 1957.
