The trail of martyrdom and the pear tree
ul. bł. Karoliny Kózkówny 69, 33-133 Zabawa
In the Wal-Ruda forest, where sixteen-year-old Karolina escaped from the blows inflicted by a Russian soldier, the route of her martyrdom was marked out. Every 18th day of the month, regardless of the weather, at 15 o’clock, people gather to participate in the way of the cross. Blessed Karolina gathered her peers and local children under the pear tree to teach them the truths of faith and prepare them for the sacraments. With her attitude and testimony, she communicated to them the principles and values that shaped a beautiful, noble and dignified human life.
