Painting presents historical figures, who had a big influence on regaining independence and took part in the battle of Łowczówek, mayor Edward Rydz-Śmigły, who was also a commander of 1st Polish Legions Brigade, Felicjan Sławoj-Składkowski, who was a legion medic, Stanisław Kaszubski, who served under 1st battalion as a commander of platoon, and Kfather Kosma Lenczowski, who was a chaplain of 1st Polish Legions Brigade.
