Brzesko-Okocim, The Urban Architectionic Complex of the Brzesko-Okocim Brewery

The urban and architectonic complex of the brewery in Brzesko-Okocim, along with the surrounding buildings and the Goetz-Okocimskis’ park and manor complex, is one of the most interesting historic monuments of Lesser Poland (the Małopolska region). The complex was established at the turn of the 20th-century. It is perfectly composed into the landscape, and its owners were engaged in brewery. There are many historic buildings in the complex. Among them, “the old mansion” containing many 19th-century objects: a 1845 brewery, the Goetz residence, an old malthouse, a barley granary, an old and new brewhouses, a new malthouse, a hop magazine, a yeast storage, a bottle house, a water treatment plant. Near the brewery, just by the western part of the forest, we can find a wooden edifice of the former summer theater (now a restaurant called “Zajazd Okocim”). The most exquisite monument in Okocim is the manor complex and the surrounding park.
