The Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Porąbka Uszewska is a church built in 1914-18 according to the design of Jan Sas-Zubrzycki. About 250 meters from it there is located a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes. The church is eclectic, with elements of neo-Romanism and neo-gothic, made of brick with the use of stone and concrete. It is composed of a three-nave, pseudo-hall body with a transept and a chancel closed on three sides. The main neo-Gothic altar, made after 1920, with a sculpture of Christ the King in the center and statues of Saints Barbara and Catherine on the sides. Above, there is the painting of St. Andrew, and the 18th century, baroque painting of Mother of God with the Child in wooden dresses, from the former church.

The initiator of the construction of the grotto was Fr. Jan Palka, who around 1900 made a pilgrimage to Lourdes. Four years later, with the help of his parishioners, he built the grotto on the slope of Godów hill, next to the old wooden church. The interior of the Grotto is a spacious room, covered with a barrel vault. In the central part of the interior there is a stone, neo-Gothic altar. In the semicircular recess of the chapel there is a miniature figure of the Immaculate.

Below the chapel there is a tabernacle closed with a decorative door. In the recesses of the back wall of the Grotto, the gate is hung. On the right side of the building, above the Grotto’s vault, in a deep niche, there is a statue of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, made by the sculptor Józef Kulesza from Krakow. The external façade is made of raw stone, imitating natural rock.

Both the church and the Sanctuary belong to the Ceramic Trail of the Tarnów region due to the numerous mosaics inside the buildings.
