It is one of the main streets in Tarnów. In 1784-1785 it was appointed by Eng. Jan Gross as part of the route from Silesia to Lviv. For many years it was the center of social and economic life, which is why the most important offices and institutions were located there. In the years from 1911 to 1942, there was a tram line on it. Today, there are numerous historic tenement houses, houses and manors along the street, as well as the parish church of St. Families.
