Szancer Mill

Kołłątaja 9a, 33-100 Tarnów

The steam-powered mill was built in 1846 on the initiative of Henryk Szancer. During the occupation, the mill was taken over by the Germans and they continued production until the end of the war in 1945. During the communist regime, the factory was nationalized. In the 2000s, an art gallery was to be built here, but these plans did not materialize. In 2015, the mill was consumed by a fire, after which remained only empty, although still the enchanting shell of the walls. Currently the structure is recognized as a monument.
