The medieval ruins of the Melsztyn Leliwit Castle date back to the 14th century, later expanded as a magnate residence in the Renaissance style. It was destroyed in 1771 by the Russian army. From the original castle, a partially square residential tower from the 15th century, the northern wall of the palace from the 16th century and a basement (water cistern) have survived.
