The Zawisza Vineyard

Wesołów 200, 32-840 Zakliczyn

Vineyard founded in 2003 by Mariusz Chryk, a wine enthusiast whose grandfather managed one of the largest vineyards in pre-war Poland. Mr. Chryk learned the secrets of winemaking in Beaujolais, Germany and Switzerland, finally he decided to start his own vineyard. He found a suitable place for this in his wife’s hometown, on a sunny slope with southern and south-western exposure. He does not use any chemicals in his grapevines, and the quality of wine is largely influenced by the local microclimate. The unpredictability of the local weather gives the wine its unique flavor.

The vineyard also sells grape seedlings from its own nursery garden.
