Curyłowa ’s Farmhouse
Zalipie 135, 33-210 Olesno
http://4456/
The farmhouse was built by Felicja Curyłowa and her husband in the 1930s. It consists of Felicja’s house preserved in its original form, a former cowshed, which now houses a room for museum workshops and a museum cash register, as well as a barn with old agricultural and transport equipment. In the back, we can see a painted hut brought from another place, which in the past belonged to another great painter and a poet, Stefania Łączyńska. Near the farm, we can notice a poor cottage that differs from the others. It is an externally decorated log building with a thatched roof. The perfectly preserved façades of the buildings, decorated with paintings of colorful flowers, have survived thanks to the fact that the buildings were put under the care of the Regional Museum in Tarnów, which established its branch here. Traditional paintings in Zalipie can also be seen at the fire station, kindergarten, school and elementary school. One cannot forget about the decorated interior of the parish church.
