The monument was revealed on 19th of June 1966, which was a 26th anniversary of first prisoner transport to concentration camp KL Auschwitz in Oświęcim. Local artist-sculptors Bogdan Ligęza-Drwal and Anatol Drwal are the creators of this monument. The Monument is constructed from two parts: one presents three kneeling figures of martryrs with torn out heart and the second one presents two swords, refrencing Battle of Grunwald and a crying child next to inaccessible, cold and alien wall.
