The monument is located at the church of St. Jacob the Apostle. The Solidarity Monument resembles a brick gate. A glass case is hung between the pillars. There are dates on marble slabs. The written dates refer to, among others, the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła as the Pope and the first pilgrimage of John Paul II to Poland. On the other side there is a plaque commemorating the victims of the plane crash near Smolensk.
